The best thing about working with Lauren is she listens. The most important thing for me is making sure the training is right for my body. Lauren takes that into account with every work out and every exercise. I’ve had knee surgeries, shoulder surgery, and back surgery. If anything does not feel right during a workout she always has a suggestion for a different exercise or modification.

As we have progressed over the years the constant has always been her attentiveness to what’s right for me during each workout and over time as well. I worked out for years on my own and finally admitted to myself that I needed the help of a professional trainer. I will also be the first to admit sometimes it’s hard to get up early in the morning or have the energy late in the day for a workout with Lauren. What keeps me coming back is that I can see a clear difference in my health both physically and mentally. I am 45 and working with Lauren has me in the best shape I have been in since high school.

Lauren really gets to know her client’s abilities and goals. She is able to tailor my workouts to my needs on any given day, whether I’m full of energy and feeling great or helping me recover or work around injuries. With Lauren’s coaching, I push myself a little bit harder and challenge myself with exercises that I otherwise might not think I was capable of. It’s easy to get complacent or even bored with the same fitness routine week after week, but Lauren always has something new or different to keep me engaged and working up to my potential.
With today’s limitations due to Covid, I really look forward to my regularly scheduled zoom workouts. They help keep me motivated and on track throughout the week. They also help me burn off some of the “extra” calories that have resulted from too much snacking at home!
When I’m done with a workout with Lauren, I always feel like I’ve accomplished something and I feel good about having dedicated some time to my overall health and well-being.

I have worked with Lauren for over 15 years and she has taken me from fitness “little baby steps” to bigger, more challenging workouts over these years. One of my tennis friends mentioned that Lauren was teaching a fitness class that was ‘really fun’. I was skeptical (and a little nervous) but I decided to try a class. Lauren explained all the exercises really clearly, and I found it easy to follow. I was surprised at how quickly the hour went by. Each class is a little different, which keeps it interesting, and Lauren is always willing to suggest alternatives if a particular movement is difficult or painful.
I now find myself looking forward to the classes, and I actually feel as if I have more energy and endurance on the tennis court. (And my friend was right - it really is fun!
